The Cure
The Cure just released their highest-charting album in the US since 1992. Debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, Songs of a Lost World is the legendary group’s first Top 10 album in the United States in over 20 years.
(Wish debuted at No. 2 in 1992; The Cure at No. 7 in 2004).
Songs of a Lost World sold 57,000 equivalent album units in the first week. Of these, 53,000 were traditional album sales from physical and digital formats, including 23,000 across multiple vinyl variants.
Their Ross Robinson-produced self-titled set debuted with 91k in 2004.
The band’s 14th studio album is No. 1 in Album Sales, Rock & Alternative, Rock, Alternative, Vinyl, and the Indie Store Album Sales charts.
It’s also The Cure’s first No. 1 album in the UK since Wish topped the chart 32 years ago.
