SLEEP TOKEN
Even in Arcadia
(RCA)
No. 1: 🇦🇺🇦🇹🇩🇰🇩🇪🇳🇿🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸
Sleep Token’s first album for RCA and fourth overall did 127,000 in total activity this week, putting it atop the all-genre Billboard 200, which measures sales and streaming, as well as several other charts, including Album Sales.
Of that number, 73,500 were from traditional album sales, from six vinyl variants, a standard CD, two deluxe CD box sets, and paid digital downloads.
47,000 of those were vinyl, making it the second biggest vinyl sales week for a rock album since Soundscan started tracking sales in 1991, displacing the new Ghost album, but still trailing the most recent blink-182 album’s 49,000.
With 53,000 streaming equivalent albums (65M audio, 3M video), Even in Arcadia had the biggest single streaming week ever for a hard rock album.
The UK band’s 2023 album on Spinefarm, Take Me Back to Eden, did 10,000 in total activity this week, 2500 of which were traditional album sales, 1600 of those on vinyl. Take Me Back to Eden has sold 73,000 copies on vinyl in the USA.
Queen’s “Somebody to Love” joined Spotify’s BILLIONS CLUB.
