METALLICA drew nearly 80,000 fans in Los Angeles on Friday (August 25) at the first of the band's two shows at SoFi Stadium. It was the biggest crowd in the history of the SoCal stadium, which opened in September 2020. The band drew a similar sized crowd on Sunday. (I was at both shows and they were killer.)

Taylor Swift's recent six-night stand at SoFi was attended by 420,000 ticket-holders, with 70,000-plus in attendance each time. (I did not attend.)
