“Watch The World Burn” by Falling In Reverse is the highest new entry on Spotify’s Global Metal chart this week at No. 3. “Voices In My Head” (debuted at No. 42) and “ZOMBIFIED” (No. 51) remain on that chart.
The band just started the second leg of the Rockzilla Tour, co-headlining with Papa Roach, who also dropped a new single in collaboration with Beartooth.
Videos featuring Deftones songs have been viewed more than 409 million times on TikTok, which may explain their surge in streaming. Their 2010 “Sextape” appears on YouTube’s Top Hard Rock video chart in the US.
Important takeaways from Billboard’s recent 2022 genre report: ROCK music dominates in sales of physical media and paid digital downloads, with 43% of the market. The format kept pace with industry trends overall (up 9% in consumption, 14.3% in on-demand streams) and grew its share of overall on-demand streaming, from 16.3% in 2021 to 16.6% in 2022. At 19.37%, Rock showed the most year-over-year growth of any genre.
