This year marked my first visit to Download Festival in 20 years, when I had Throwdown and Bleeding Through on the Snickers Stage, and the headliners were Metallica (celebrating 20 years of Master of Puppets), Guns N’ Roses (post-Buckethead, pre-DJ Ashba), and TOOL. Too many great friends there this year to mention all by name, but great seeing each of you, and a special shout-out to the Download staff, who were almost shockingly polite and helpful at every turn.
